Terms of Use
Last updated 14 August 2026
Bomb Hills is operated as a personal, non-commercial project. By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
1. What this site is
Bomb Hills analyses public elevation and road data by computer and presents the results. It identifies stretches of public road that slope downward and estimates how fast an object might travel down them. Nothing on this site is a recommendation, an invitation, or an endorsement to skate, ride, or otherwise use any road.
2. Assumption of risk and release of liability
Downhill skateboarding and longboarding are dangerous activities that can result in serious injury, permanent disability, paralysis, or death.
You understand and agree that:
- You are solely responsible for deciding whether to ride any road.
- You knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks of injury, death, and property damage arising from any use you make of information on this site.
- You release, waive, and discharge the operator of this site from any and all claims, demands, damages, and causes of action arising out of or relating to your use of the site or of any road identified by it, including claims based on the operator's negligence, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- You agree to indemnify and hold the operator harmless from any claim brought by a third party arising out of your use of the site.
3. The data is incomplete and may be wrong
The analysis is derived from elevation surveys collected between 2010 and 2023 and from volunteer-maintained road data. It has no knowledge of traffic volume, speed limits, road surface condition, gravel, potholes, sightlines, driveways, parked or moving vehicles, pedestrians, construction, road closures, private property boundaries, or any law or ordinance. Roads change. Data contains errors. A road shown here may not exist, may not be public, may not be paved, and may be unsafe or unlawful to skate.
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
4. Obey the law
Many jurisdictions restrict or prohibit skateboarding on public roads. Some streets shown here are private. You are responsible for knowing and following the law and for obtaining any permission required. Nothing here is legal advice.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or for personal injury or death, arising out of or relating to your use of this site, whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid to use this site, which is nothing, or one United States dollar.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for personal injury caused by negligence. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions and limitations above apply only to the extent permitted.
6. Minors
This site is not directed at children. If you are under 18, do not use this site without the involvement of a parent or guardian.
7. Acceptable use
Do not scrape the site at volume, attempt to bypass the verification step, interfere with its operation, or use it to harass anyone or to encourage unlawful activity.
8. Third-party data and trademarks
Elevation data is from the U.S. Geological Survey 3D Elevation Program and is in the public domain. Road data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and is licensed under the Open Database License. Base map tiles are from OpenFreeMap; terrain tiles are from the AWS Terrain Tiles open dataset.

9. Changes
These terms may change. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Oklahoma.
11. Contact
